Sophie Sladen

Sophie started out in the world of stage and event management, working freelance for various theatres, events and shows across the UK. Originally from Nottingham she spent 4 years studying and working in London. She then came to Birmingham in 2005 to work for Birmingham REP and has stayed in the city ever since! She has also worked for Arts Council England, Almeida Theatre, London and the Royal Shakespeare Company in the producers’ department.
Her responsibilities include devising, delivering and managing educational, outreach and community projects, overseeing visual arts exhibitions, assiting with programming, writing regular Punch newsletters, delivering events, gigs and seminars and other project management. Sophie is also a qualified Arts Award advisor.
