Paul Fordham
General Manager
From a beginning in Bristol’s diverse club and record shop culture, Paul established himself as a leading player in diverse music nationally.
Developing programmes for Bristol Music Live, Respect in the West and Colston Hall, he has managed the programme for large scale venues, such as Leicester’s de Montfort Hall and Warwick Arts Centre.
He also set up a micro agency for World music artists such as BBC world music award nominee Lura, Buika and BBC Worldwide signing Manecas Costa. As Commission Manager he has overseen complex international commissions including Women of Cape Verde and translated the award winning Imagined Village to a touring production.
He devised programme initiatives including the outdoor multimedia event Nightsafe, the UK Black and Asian platform initiative Crossing the Tracks and a city wide cultural season DiverseCity.
His experience in arts development and touring led to his involvement in touring consortia Live Roots and Music Beyond Mainstream.
