Bringing Latin vibes to the table, Sorana hails from Romania and is in her first year at Birmingham University , studying BA Media, Culture & Society and Philosophy. She wishes to pursue a career in the arts & media sector, focusing on film and she kicked off her involvement with the media at the age of 16 when she helped organize a jazz and classical music competition and festival.
She then moved on to completing a summer course in Media Writing in 2007 and has been trying to do as many exciting things to gain experience ever since including publishing, hence why she decided to join the Punch team.

Alongside her interest in urban culture, plastic arts and artistic film, she also wants to become a teacher, militating for education through art and cultural awareness, so delivering quality arts events is a worthwhile activity to invest energy in.

Sorana was on placement with Punch for 3 months, assisting us with Arts Own Kind presented as part of BASS and is now our resident Blogger-at-large!
