BRIEF DESCRIPTION (200-400 max)

My name is Sista Dee ,Im a singer song writer, of Irish & Trini desent who has performed my own style of reggae fusion with both my own band, as well as session musicians, as a solo ecoustic artist, i do singjay, ragga m.c, hiphop, but mostly the past gigging with my “wise up” band both in Gibraltar & Spain. I was born in uk so have a British passport, i live in Gibraltar now but would love to come and play at your gig,If there is sponsorship ( which if its tight at your end i might be able to get from here to pay my fare.) i can bring the band from here if not, i have musician contacts in the U.K. who will play for me. unless you want an ecoustic set in which case its easier & will cost less still.

HOW IS YOUR PROJECT INSPIRED BY JAMAICA? (100 words max) I play music that is mostly reggae influence, I grew up with Jamaican Reggae from young, when i met Bob Marley in shepherds bush, out in the street many moons ago, he cheered me up when i was down, i only later found out who he was. many Jamaicans have sung about the Mighty Rock Of Gibraltar, Gibraltarians were evacuated to Jamaca during the war & seeds of freindship were planted by both.
Jamaican friends say i need to play in Jamaica, they would love my music. playing at your festival is the next best thing to that.

HOW YOU ENSURE AN AUDIENCE FOR THIS EVENT? I have some fans in UK, but often when i sing my own songs people who have never heard of me seem to like it & gather up to the stage. but truly self praise is no recomendation. so im hoping Jah will inspire you to take a chance on me..

WHAT SUPPORT WILL YOU REQUIRE FROM THE BASS FESTIVAL 2012? (if any)

We will need to use your inhouse P.A. as bringing ours will be a big hassle with flight cost & paper work

Artist Fees(include all artist expenses as well as fees) If Solo Ecoustic set £200 + expences, or going uk rate any extra band members If you want the band it will be minimum of 3 extra players + would be the same per Artist + Trainfare from airport to your venue ? + airfare of approx £200 Solo performance £200+Air fare ?? accomodation if needed, Though i do have friends & Family in the UK who would put me up.
Might be able to get sponsors for the airfare & accomadation. Full band will except uk going rate for a four or five piece band, but normally we play for anything from £400 to £1500, according to how much money the venue takes.
For Charity Gigs we only need expences and the performance is free.
