International Work

Punch has long reputation to share practice with other organisations delivering work across the globe especially from the African, Caribbean & Asian Diaspora to develop meaningful partnership projects. This drive has come to fruition and Punch now has strong working relationships with a number of organisations internationally.

To date, Punch has relationships with organisations based in Paris, Lyon, Rotterdam, Gothenburg, Lagos, Helsinki, Amsterdam, New York, San Francisco,Cape Town and Los Angeles. We are hoping to widen this group of contacts so if you are an organisation based outside the UK, developing similar work to ours then please get in touch.

At the heart of our business is the drive to support cutting edge, experimental and credible work which celebrates the wealth of talent found within the African and Asian Diaspora in the UK and share this through a 21st century model of touring, education and technology.

Our international programme of artist exchange, festivals, events, touring and production encapsulates an exciting, innovative body of work that supports the cultural terrain of the UK, introducing and promoting new voices as well as focusing on sustaining and developing touring networks through dynamic promotion and imaginative partnerships.

Punch seeks to challenge the international touring circuit by regularly introducing a wider variety of music genres including Bhangra, Ska, Afro Beat, Makossa, Lovers Rock, Rocksteady, Jitjive, Dancehall, Mento, Hip Hop, Soukous, Roots Reggae, Dub, Kwaito, Hip Life, Calypso, Kudoro and other traditional and emerging forms of music from the Diaspora.
